My Paintings

Have you ever not tried something because everyone around you seems so much more talented? When you can see 5 yearolds playing drum solos on YouTube like Neal Pert, it’s pretty intimidating.

But when I was 40 I decided to start a band. What was the worse that could happen? Well, it turned out that, with some practice, I could actually play quite well and before I knew it I was on stage at casino’s and playing alongside some of the musicians I used to look up to (literally) from the audience.

Then I thought about painting. I had always liked drawing as a child, but when I was 14 my Grade 9 art teacher told me I wasn’t very good after showing her a painting I was very proud of. I was deflated and never tried again.

So, just like with music, I recently decided to try some introductory painting classes including those specializing in the Bob Ross “wet on wet” method. So far so good! Some examples are below.

Might be a bit worrying if the moon got that close!
